Vale, Doctor Tom Wright, one of the last true Gentlemen.

Tom loved wooden boats and his involvement in WBAC - known as "The Boat Club" - helped shape it into what is has become today, a lively, vibrant club that is a pleasure to be part of.

Tom's love of wooden boats also resulted in amassing a veritable fleet of wooden boats of all shapes, styles, and types, and he had such pleasure in taking all of them out on the water to experience the different qualities and purposes of each one.

Tom's other great love apart from his family was acting, and he immersed himself in each role no matter where and what it was. Our Christmas functions and Tinaroo Raids were always that much better with Tom's costumes and horsing around.

His friendly and quirky manner, tremendous sense of humour, and deep dedication to the club has been a mainstay over the years and his absence will be sorely missed.

Farewell, Doctor Tom, it was a privilege' to have known you.
